The AE   Program is designed to achieve the following goals:
Create an understanding of major ecological concepts.

Enable students to understand levels of organization that occur in nature. These are individuals, populations, communities, ecosystems and landscapes.

Teach students how to evaluate the ecological consequences of environmental problems.

Educate students how to conduct an ecology research study. They will perform both an observational and experimental research investigation.
The AE   Program:
  • enables teachers to challenge their students to learn ecology principles.  Furthermore, it empowers students with the ability to conduct ecological research on their own without having to be guided by step-by-step instructions in a manual.
  • requires the commitment of three full days.
  • can be taught effectively in any season - fall, winter, spring or summer.
