PROBE'S Teacher Training and Support
Many teachers continued in the program every year and made PROBE a part of their curriculum. However, each year, PROBE accepted new teachers into the program. Regardless of their level of experience, all PROBE teachers came to Rider University each year for one-day of professional development.
Furthermore, teachers were given an extensive array of supplemental educational material (CDs, videos, slides, transparencies) to assist them in their instructional efforts. Teachers remained in contact with Dr. Gemmell and continued to receive whatever additional support needed to ensure that they succeeded in their PROBE experience.

"If it was not for your program that takes students out of the classroom and into a real life environmental setting and challenges them with real environmental issues to solve, they would never have had this fantastic opportunity. I commend you for reaching out to high school kids and exposing them to experiences they could never have inside a science classroom. Please continue the excellent work that you do

“This program was one of the most, if not the most, valuable educational experience my students had this year. This program achieves all of my goals as a teacher for my students – intellectual challenge, first-hand scientific experience, personal growth, and practice in scientific communications.”
